EDUCATIONAL MODEL
The Autonomous Educational Model is based on the pedagogical principles of the 21st century education paradigm, which establishes the importance of providing comprehensive training to the student, focused on learning, the development of skills and the construction of citizenship; To achieve this, the University carries out transversal and articulated actions through its substantive functions of Teaching, Research and Extension.
From this perspective, students should develop various skills, knowledge, attitudes and values; To achieve this, teachers must move towards new pedagogical practices that ensure reaching the educational ideal of the model. In this sense, teaching is reconstructed as a complex and contextualized activity, in which the teacher must be a reflective professional capable of giving answers to the changing situations of today’s world.
Model features
The Autonomous Educational Model has a series of characteristics that guide the work of our University for the sake of the integral formation of students, covering aspects of both the learning and teaching process, relations with society, as well as the ideal conditions for achieve educational integrity.
Information and communication technologies are incorporated into the educational model as a tool for knowledge management, which has made it possible to enrich, enhance, dynamize and make learning more flexible.
One of the main advantages that ICTs provide to education is the possibility of accessing information anywhere and at any time. This advantage gives students the possibility of managing the time they dedicate to their learning, and structuring the contents based on the mastery they have over them, and thus advance at their own pace.

ISO 9001:2015 Procedure PO-628-04 Virtual Subject Management
In order to comply with institutional quality standards, the Center for Continuing and Distance Education (CEDUCAD) has registered its procedure PO-628-04 Virtual Subject Management with the Autonomaus Integrated Management System, which has as purpose to describe the substantial activities of the design of materials and the administration of the educational platform of the educational programs of undergraduate and postgraduate in the distance modality.
